About Lake Tapps
Welcome! Everyone always asks me, “What’s happening on Lake Tapps?” so I decided to start this website to show monthly waterfront home statistics and occasionally showcase a listing or two.
Lake Tapps offers many recreational activities including fishing, water skiing, and wake boarding. The water level gets lowered in the winter for various reasons including maintenance and then refreshing, clean glacier water from Mount Rainier flows back in during the Spring months. There are many interesting coves, homes of all sizes, neighborhood parks, terrific schools and even a public golf course on Tapps Island. The miles of shoreline total to around 45, so it is a big lake.
Lake Tapps is located south of Seattle and is near the cities of Auburn and Sumner. In fact, if you work in Seattle, commuting on the Sounder Train is a great alternative to driving.
